With over 2800 global employees and a team mindset of continual ambition and motivation, it’s a difficult task to find a stand-out candidate. With this in mind, it is all the more rewarding that the Beijer Alma Anders Wall scholarship has been achieved by Adam Kempson, Coiling Team Leader at Lesjöfors Heavy Springs, UK.
Michael Gibbs, Managing Director of the UK factories says: “Six years ago, Adam was managing a McDonald’s branch. Today’s award recognition is the icing on the cake for a team player who has held the title of ‘super-setter’, as his phenomenal skill and speed at coil setting have been critical to our success.
He is the fastest trainee to come through our CPD system, he excels at accomplishing new skills and has been promoted time and time again in recognition of his dedication to his work and colleagues.
A mentor to new recruits, he uses his skills to train and support others, is part of a mentoring scheme and is on a management fast track path. He is a key team player, constantly pushing processes and testing limits and this energy and mindset motivates and empowers everyone around him.

The scholarship secures a £5000 continual training development prize fund which Kempson will be putting towards his ongoing personal development goal of becoming an Operational Leader.
Kempson concludes: “I had no idea when I started working at Lesjöfors that my career trajectory would develop the way it has. Moving into manufacturing has opened so many doors for me and to be recognised for enjoying what I do is something I truly value. To be able to utilise the funds to develop my skills and further climb the career ladder and achieve new opportunities within Lesjöfors is priceless.”
